Industrial Ethernet Embedded Switches
ADI’s portfolio of embedded Real Time Ethernet Switch are ideal solution for adding Industrial Ethernet connectivity to any field device or controller application. Designed for scalable and flexible system development, they support all major Industrial Ethernet Protocols while also providing the ability to future-proof for many Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) features, for the IEC/IEEE 60802 industrial profile. They interface easily with any host processor including any ARM® CPU utilizing the protocol specific device drivers provided by ADI. This provides the flexible system partitioning enabling the selection of processor that best fits your application requirements. It also provides the freedom to utilize any vendors protocol stack.
These solutions offer multiprotocol support and are compatible with protocols like PROFINET Class C (IRT) and Class B (RT), EtherNet/IP with and without DLR, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, and POWERLINK. ADI’s real time ethernet switch portfolio offers multiple port counts, flexible bandwidth (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps) and low power consumption. Specified for extended ambient temperature ranges up to 105°C, they are idea for use within enclosed or sealed housing with limited air flow. The switch technology intelligently filters packets to keep unwanted traffic from your processor, manage low priority traffic based on the loading of your processor, and guarantee the timely delivery of high priority packets, regardless of overall packet load. Industrial Ethernet Physical Layer Devices
The ADI Chronous™ Industrial Ethernet physical layer (PHYs) portfolio includes solutions for standard 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps. It also features the new 10BASE-T1L technology for single-pair Ethernet.
Our industry-leading low latency and low power PHY technology maximizes data transmission and signal integrity in deterministic applications by reducing cycle times and system power consumption. It enables superior synchronization of signals across the industrial network and supports the development of TSN.
This portfolio of ultra low power 10BASE-T1L products includes both PHY and MAC PHY solutions to support optimization of system power budgets while offering flexibility in design choice. The unique MAC PHY technology enables the reuse of existing low power processor technologies that do not support traditional Ethernet interfaces, and instead enable connection via SPI.
